Chaulden Junior School

A warm welcome to Chaulden Junior School.  We are a small community school for children between the ages of 7 and 11 years.

We are ambitious and forward looking and aim to make a real difference to the children who come here. We work in partnership with parents and the local community to provide a wide range of services and support to meet our pupils needs.

Most of our pupils come from the surrounding neighbourhood, reflecting the population of our local community.  In each class there are children of varying abilities. Chaulden Junior School also includes a specialist Speech and Language base, offering specialist teaching for pupils across the wider community of Hemel Hempstead, Watford and St Albans.

We offer a  range of extended services to children and their families;  an after-school club, parent classes and adult education. We provide a variety of opportunities for our pupils to exercise their talents and try their hand at new skills and interests.  We also work closely with a wide range of professionals to support families. Gade partnership is part of our school site, working with parents and professionals to support parenting.

Our Friends of Chaulden Junior School works hard to host a range of social and fund raising activities for children throughout the year.

We consider our greatest strength to be the strong commitment of the staff and governors to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which children will be encouraged and inspired to achieve their potential, in all aspects of their academic, physical and social development. I invite you to come and visit our school where you will receive a warm welcome from adults and children alike, and have the opportunity to discover the delights of our school.
