Governor Profiles

Graeme is an experienced governor and currently also serves as a governor at Pixies Hill Primary School and The Hemel Hempstead School (where he spent 4 years as Chair of Governors).

He spent over 30 years in the IT and Communications industry, predominantly with BT where he had roles in software development, product management, strategy and finally as a marketing director, before retiring at the end of 2018.

He also sits on the board of Thrive Homes, a local Housing association.

Graeme is married and has three children, the youngest of whom is in the sixth form at The Hemel Hempstead School.

Rosie has spent six and a half years working in behaviour change and strategic consultancy. This has seen her working for a range of organisations, from big corporates through to small charities and government departments on a wide range of behavioural challenges, which with research and behavioural science understanding she aims to resolve. Before that Rosie worked at Comic Relief in the Operations Dept. where she had oversight of the running of a very successful charity. 

Having a year’s maternity leave gave her a fresh perspective on wanting to use her skillset in other ways that would benefit the community and becoming a governor felt like an appropriate way to do this. She feels privileged to be part of the board of governors at Chaulden Schools and is really looking forward having a positive impact on school life.

Alison was brought up and went to school in Dacorum and have lived in the local area for much of my life. 

Having spent the majority of her career working in human resource management for large companies, in 2007 she founded her own company with a business partner working on recruitment projects to source candidates for universities and government departments. This helped to further strengthen her interest and strong belief in the importance of education, including at early years’ stage, opening children’s eyes to the world and giving them the confidence and desire to make the most of their skills and grasp every opportunity that is offered to them or is within their reach. To encourage them to aim high. She believe that this is something for which the seeds are sown very early on from junior school stage, as well as through family life. 

Alison's impressions of Chaulden Schools are that they provide a vibrant environment which encourages each pupil to reach his or her full potential in a caring and supportive way.  She welcomes and feels privileged to have the opportunity to make a contribution to this.

Hinesh moved to Dacorum in 2019 and loves the community spirit that exists within the local area. He has been qualified as a chartered accountant for ten years and have spent most of his working life in the professional services sector. His work involves understanding the strategies and business models of organisations and providing recommendations on how to strengthen their governance frameworks.

He has two young children of his own and has been privileged to spend so much time with them both over the last few years. It is apparent, even at an early stage, how important education and development is in the formative years of children’s’ lives. He is really excited to join the governing board of Chaulden Schools and looks forward to working with fellow governors to make sure the children have as positive an environment as possible that will enable them to reach their full potential.

Susanna has lived in Dacorum all her life: attending both primary and secondary schools in the area.  On leaving school she worked in Administration and then spent a year in Saudi Arabia before coming back to the UK to study for a degree in English at the University of Hertfordshire.   

Having worked in Education, as an English teacher, for over 20 years she understands the demands placed on our students and what is expected from them when they reach secondary school.  During this time she has worked in a number of secondary schools, across Herfordshire, has been Head of Year, taking responsibility for the pastoral aspects of students’ time in school, and have taught all ages from Year 7 to Year 13.   

As a grandparent of four grandchildren, all attending the Chaulden Schools she is very pleased to have the opportunity to be part of the Local School Committee and wants to help support the trust to make it the outstanding school she knows it can be.
