Vision and Values

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and are upheld by every member of the school community.

Our Vision

Chaulden Junior School will be a school at the heart of the local community. We will provide an environment where individuals are valued, diversity is embraced and all children receive an excellent education which establishes life-long learning habits. As children journey through Chaulden Junior School, they will learn our core values and develop as confident, happy citizens who are aspirational and able to fulfil their potential.

Our Values

Chaulden values

Be Kind

Be Brave

Be a Chaulden Learner

At the start of this academic year, the children spent a long time discussing Chaulden values and what kind of school they want Chaulden Juniors to be. We reflected on the previous academic year, the impact of Covid lockdown on pupil wellbeing, and staff and parent feedback.

Our question was: ‘What are the things that we believe are most important to our school?’ We all decided that we want every single person at Chaulden Junior School to 'Be Kind, Be Brave and Be a Chaulden Learner.'

These values will run through all our lessons and relationships, teaching the children how to respect themselves and others, how to work as part of a team, how to be resilient when things go wrong and how to value and make the most of their education.
