Year 3 and 4 have planned an experiment to investigate if plants need leaves to live and grow.  We have decided to cut off all the leaves on one plant and keep the leaves on a second plant.  We will water each plant the same and keep the plants together so they receive the same amount of sunlight.  This is an overtime experiment and will continue for 6 weeks.  Most of us predict that the plant without leaves will die because it makes its own food in the leaves.
