The lower phase have started looking at the work of Henri Rousseau, who is famous for his paintings of jungles. This links with our current topic of jungles and deserts. This week and last week, we headed out to the woodland area and did observational sketching of nature. We looked carefully at every leaf and twig we found, trying to capture every detail in our drawing. It was the perfect activity for a hot day!
